We are Moving! Clinic Expansion 2016.
This past year has been a very exciting time for our office. November 2015 marked 10 years since Drs. Anderson and Bokinac took over the practice from Dr. Robert MacKay.
Since that time, the clinic has continued to grow and expand — from a sole optometrist under Dr. MacKay to the addition of our fourth optometrist in June 2015. With an ever-growing staff, we are aware our current location no longer meets the needs of our growing practice.
During the past few years, we have been looking for that ideal location to suit our needs. Finally, in late 2015, we found it at 3617 Pasqua Street, located behind (east of) Gold’s Gym south. Since then, we have been planning out the space to make it perfect to serve our patients’ needs even better. Our aim at Advance Eye Care Center is to fulfil our mission statement for each and every patient: Care… It’s What We Do. This mantra has been the backbone that guides each decision regarding our new office. Taking your feedback into account, we have ensured the new location will offer significantly more space, no more stairs, much more parking, a nearby bus stop, additional pretesting rooms to keep your visit moving efficiently, and some exciting new services.
Our optical dispensary and exam lanes will feature a modern European look with advance-eye-care_1displays based on the latest European design. All cabinets and displays will be custom made locally, supporting local trades and local people — not big box suppliers.
Over the past decade, we have been steadily shifting our dispensary to support high quality, independent fashion brands handmade in European countries such as France, Italy, Belgium and Germany. We also love to support our Canadian designers at companies such as Spectacle Eyeworks. These distinctive Canadian designed frames offer unique shape and colour combinations to accent your style. We carry more than 1,800 frames to suit any budget and style, from basic to high fashion or classic to funky.
In this new space, Advance Vision Therapy Regina will have a dedicated vision therapy area. There, Dr. Bokinac will continue to offer Developmental Vision Assessments and vision therapy for children struggling in school and for those with Developmental Visual concerns such as strabismus, amblyopia, “lazy eye” and more. We will be adding more tools for both assessment and therapy to the new office. As of the week of August 15, 2016, the painting was 50 per cent complete, and we are on schedule for our big move and grand opening set for October 1, 2016.
Check us out on Facebook at www.facebook.com/advanceeyecare to see the progress of the construction; we will be updating it regularly. We are planning for a large grand opening event, so stay tuned for details. The optometrists of Advance Eye Care Center are always accepting new patients, so call us at 306.586.7036 to schedule an appointment.
